Hey guys Question About Hat Quality

I realize that hats vary in felt quality and I have read everything that I can get my hands on in regards to the "best" hats available, but I'm not necessarilly convinced. I have a uniform hat made by Stratton, that is supposed to be 10X Felt, and , although stiff. seems to be of great quality. In preparation of the arrival of my Fed. Delux, I reshaped the Stratton for the first time, tonight. Turned out way bettere than I expected (in my view anyway) and worked like a piece of morter - I was able to mold it the way I wanted to. Other than the color and band which are obviously not INDI, I like this hat!. As I get these "free", I guess I will practice some more. I realize I probably cannot dissern every nuance of INDI hat shaping, but I know what I like = a good looking fedora! If the hat I am about to recieve has Stratton Hat grade Felt I am going to be impressed. I'll bash it (my knowledge came from this website) and praise the hat maker. If beaver is EVEN better, I can't wait, as that's my next purchase- an Adventurebilt!

Free?

You get Stratton hats for free? Do you need any new friends?

They're uniform hats. Most of us don't wear them as they look too cowboyish. With a new bash they look really good, albeit, probably not cowboyish enough for uniform wear. Ya can't win!
