Erri,
This is the U.S. and he lives in Texas. One thing you may not know about Texan's is most love their firearms. I couldn't agree more! \:D/

Nice one, TR.

Thanks, Strider! Yep, it's been a long time coming! I've put it off for a long time, as I don't like giving 'big brother' any more info than I need, but I bit the bullet and went ahead and got one.

Hey TR, how does one get a CCW in Texas? Here in Socialist State we can barely own a firearm. (Man I want to leave Ca... ](*,) )

Cheers,
Jeff

Gobler, basically, you just go to any state licensed place of instruction, take a short gun safety course, qualify on the range (really easy!), take a REALLY basic test, send in the required paperwork and any criminal history that is pertinent(which is all) and if you don't have any felony convictions or domestic violence or similar issues, it comes in the mail 60 days later.
Texas is a 'shall issue' state, so if you don't have any legal issues, they have to give it to ya.
I feel for ya, man! California is LAME! They don't even have reciprocity with ANYONE! If you have a Texas Concealed Carry Permit, you can go into 28 other states (this increases all the time) and carry legally! You just have to follow the concealed carry laws of that particular state. You can even apply for a non-residence permit, and have a Texas permit while living in another state..except California.. :(
When I went to Florida over the summer, I carried legally with my permit. An pretty much every state in between..

Well that figures! More and more I want to flee Ca... But back to topic, very nice collection you have there. I used to own an S&W 5906 9mm and still own a Winchester Defender 12 gauge 8 shot pump. Not too many places around here I can go shooting with it.

Cheers,
Jeff

Congrats on the CCW! The ability to defend one's self sure makes a body feel good when the night is dark and the road long, eh?

What model of S&W auto is that? I would love to get my hands on a 1006! 8)
