Now I know what it feels like

to have a perfect brandnew Wested leather jacket lying on your dresser, and not be able to wear it because you send it back to get a different size because you were dumb enough to oder the wrong one.
Saturday I received my "Tomorrow never dies" leather jacket, after 6 weeks of waiting. First impression out of the bag: Perfect. The looks, the colour, spot on. I lifted it up, and wow that is a heavy jacket, just right for the demanding life on her majesty´s secret service. I try it on, and NOOOOOO!!! (imagine a Darth Vaderesque NOOOOO from Revenge of the Sith, with my fist up high in the air) it was too big, I was swimming in it. My last straw, a thick pullover, but that didn´t help. In tears I pondered my options: gain back a lot of weight or ask Wested to replace it with a size smaller and wait again for 6 weeks. I chose to wait.
I could hit myself with a golden idol repeatedly on the head. the only thing I can say in my defence is, that I managed to lose a lot of weight in the past months and figured that XL would be the right choice for a jacket (my shirt size went from 3XL down to L).
Wested will make me a new one, which is great, considering that they don´t have them in stock, so they have to put twice the amount of working time in my order, for which I apologized to Gemma via mail.
I thought I mention this here to join the chorus praising Wested for their customer care.
Now it´s going to be a cold, long winter for me. The silver lining however is, I will be in London in two weeks and could go down to Swanley to the shop and get me an Indy jacket, shirts and pants.
