I need to try pants on before I buy and I have a men's wearhouse locally, but I was wondering if you guys though these would be close enough. They're nice pants either way, but since I'm looking for something Indy inspired, I figured, what the heck
I usually find that, with MWH anyway, the pants actually don't come cuffed, it's a $26 tailoring job that they tack on later.
I'll probably need the pants tailored anyway as they never have my correct inseam. But instead of an outside cuff like I usually get, I guess I'll just tell them no cuff.
I always though the indy patns were cuffed, but you guys are the experts, so if you say no cuffs, then no cuffs it is
the backpockets should have scallopped flaps and to be truly accurate, the pants should have a button fly.
also if you get the pants hemmed, make sure that the plain hem is folded up inside about 2 to 3 inches or so, so that the hem stitching doesn't get caught on your alden speed lace claws....just ask my tailor.
the cavalry wool that is used in indy's wardrobe is probably a thicker weave than what MWH has (correct me if i'm wrong......crow don't taste so bad after you get use to it ).
sorry about getting so nitpicky with the details but i've gone through all of this already.....next stop will probably be the wested trousers or magnoli's wool pants.
Since they mention they are "dress pants" and are "lightweight" I'd probably guess they'd be a little on the thin side for Indy pants. Most dress pants use 6-7oz. weight fabric and the twill used in Officer's Pinks and most Indy replica pants is more in the 12-14 oz. weight range.
So I doubt those will feel much like "adventure" pants...
And for $75 bucks a pair you would probably be better off picking up a pair of Wested or Magnoli pants and not having to worry about the accuracy issues.
As for the MWH pants, I'm sort of in a bind. I got a late invite to a costume party next weekend, so the sooner I can get a pair of close enoughs, the better (right now, I'm more concerned about color rather than the small details). The future, however, may be different...
With the Magnoli's, which is the correct color to order and what is the approximate delivery time?
Honestly, if you want "close enoughs", just go to Target and get a pair of random khakis for 20$. No one at the costume party will know the difference. That's what I did, and I used a random pair of Target khakis as my Indy pants for awhile before getting my Wested pants, and no one ever said anything. It's what I'd recommend doing.

I double recommend that! My GAP pants constantly get caught on my lace hooks.
i believe 'dark khaki' is the colour that you need from magnoli.....the website has the correct colour identified in the picture so you won't need to make much of a decision. you just have to make sure that the fabric is in stock.
