David Morgan just keeps chugging along.

I called David Morgan yesterday to order his new book and chat with him. He says he has been working extra hard getting all his whip orders caught up with anticipation of an Indy IV order. While he has heard nothing the prop people gave him very short lead times on the prior movies and he wants to be ready. Mr. Morgan has an 8 foot bull completed, in stock and his order time is two weeks, the best it has been in along time. He said his orders have been steady, he has just been working harder than normal.
Hey, if the prop guys called today that 8 footer in inventory could find its way into Harry Ford's hand, imagine that!
Mr. Morgan is a very modest man. He says he got into whip making to fill a need for quality American style whip when Australian whips were not made in the American style. He hopes his new book will get others interested in braiding, which was his goal for writing the book. He likes the Indiana Jones movies because Indy uses the whips as a tool not as a stage prop. The whip is used as situations arise, not for displays of fancy whipping. This is what Mr. Morgan thinks is the success of Indy’s whipping in the movies.
I always like speaking with David Morgan and hope he is involved in Indy IV. The Morgan whip I have is one of my favorite possessions. It is in good condition after a lot of use by myself and three sons. His whips truly are a case of form following function.
