Well, I don't know of any that would be like that one. It's German, but not a Panzercherk, so I don't know what to look for. I know I'd love to have one. :D ;)

Might want to ask around at a gun show, there's some people there that can get some craaaaaazy stuff! :D

well, i was thinking of (no offense to anyone german here) smuggling it into germany under the  pretense of archeological dig supplies, then i don my fed delux(if i get it), my mk7 bag with keppler 65 inch strap(again if i get it), and my wested lamb, grab the bazooka, race into a german wwii museum, find a picture, statue, painting, bust or anything else of hitler and blow him away.

after reading this, PLEASE DON'T THINK OF ME AS VIOLENT or anything, caus' I'M JUST JOCKING ABOUT THE WHOLE BAZOOKA DEAL anyway. thanks.

The scary thing is all you need is a collectors license to own one.

It looked to me to be an RPG, not a Bazooka and I don't think they were even made yet, but I could be very wrong. I know there are quite a few militaria specialists on the board here and perhaps one of them can clear this up.

You know, I've been reading through this thread the past couple of days thinking the same thing. But then again, I'm not an expert at these things.

My buddy Denny has been asking the same thing, where can we find one. With all the wacky stuff Wal-Mart carries... I'm suprised it's not there with the guns and ammo!

You'll have to watch out for more then falling prices!

You can buy guns in a supermarket?!

Wal-mart is like this Everything store. They have clothes, toys, bathroom/bedroom decor, shoes, tools/hardware, electronics, garden supplies/plants, school/office supplies, books/magazines, camping/sports equipment, maybe even guns?, paint, bicycles, hairdryers/curling irons, cosmetics, shampoo, medicine, and some even have grocery stores in them. And great prices on most everything! If you ever come to the states, you have to visit a Wal-mart. It's just so engrained in the American culture.

Back when parents raised their kids (instead of the TV and video games), when there was right and wrong(instead of situational ethics) and personal responsibility (instead of shrinks and lawyers teaching pass the buck), you could buy guns in the Sears catalog. Walmart, K-Mart and even hardware stores.

As for bazookas........you could only order those in comic books.....along with tanks, submarines and x-ray glasses, of course. ;-)

I always wanted a pair of those glasses...

....as well as that screen that you could set up in front of your black and whilte tv (we didn't have color in those days) and it was supposed to change the black and white picture into color. I had a friend who actually bought one, and it was nothing but a cardboard frame and some wax paper. He said if you squinted and had a great imagination, you could ALMOST make out some color in the blurry image. (grins) Oh well. I still wanted some of the glasses. I wanted to see the bones in my hands, like the picture showed. in the ad. Of course, I'm rambling again.....I seem to be doing that more lately  Regards. Michaelson

Could this be a result of not having that cardboard/wax paper buffer between you and the tube?!

What boy didn't want a pair of x-ray glasses? Although I don't actually know of anyone who did get any? I'm sure it was nicer to dream of the possibilities than be disappointed with the results.

CRT Ray destruction? Maybe not the rambling part...

...but it could explain why I can't find my way out of a closet without my glasses ! Years of exposure to television, I guess. Wouldn't you know I'd go into the business and now stare at tv monitors 14 hours a day now! (grins) Regards. Michaelson

You can't forget the ol' Sea Monkeys looking all happy in their little fishbowl kingdom. And years later my friend tells me they are simply Brine Shrimp - which he bought in loads for feeding some of his fish.
Sea Monkeys were never the same, it's as if he showed me proof Santa doesn't exist, which we all know he does....

Some of you are making me feel awfully young with your talk of toys (and color screens) that were way before my time. Thank you! It also made me remember that I totally forgot to watch "American Dreams" this past Sunday night on ABC.

Hey, I'm only 16, and I well aware of x-ray glasses, sea monkeys, and Charles Atlas. Have to thank my mom for her collection of 50s to 60s comic books (also for introducing me to Indy). I always wanted that submarine they advertised on the back pages.

Wow, I'm feeling nostalgic, anyone up for a glass bottle of Coca-Cola?

Really? I haven't heard that one before. We usually call every type of soda "Coke". Wheras the North calls it "pop", I believe.

That might be a good thing as you'd miss it anyway. It's on NBC.

Actually, being in Maryland and hearing both southern and northern expressions, I've heard "Coke" used generically (which I usually do), "pop", and further north, "soda pop".

Haha! You're right! Most everything I watch is on ABC, and then if it's not there when I turn the tv on, I just flip til I find it.

Here in CA, I've called it soda my whole life....every now and then, I'll hear HJS call it pop (you can take the boy out of the Midwest, but....)

Thanks, Maryon.... And speaking of bazookas...how many grew up reading the Adventures of Bazooka Joe and his Gang on little wax paper squares wrapped around little chunks of the bubble gum equivalent of hardtack?

And speaking not of bazookas... where do folks go to get a drink of water, say, in a school? (No joke, just curious for the regional answers....)

Well I'm down here in San Francisco, and we have things called water fountains, you pull a lever and the thing spurts water. Earlier this year we had those water cooler thingies with a tank of water on top and a paper cup dispenser attached to it. The water cooler thing didn't work so well since some idiots decided to throw stuff into the water, and who knows what else they did to it. My schools somewhere around 80 years old and the pipes aren't very good, so I stray away from using the water fountains. One time I was in my science class, and the water started to turn different colors like green, yellow and brown. Most kids would prefer to buy bottled water that they sell often at school, but otherwise the popular choice of beverage is soda (the new principles trying to get rid of our vending machines).

Water Fountain. I've lived in the South, the South West, East Coast and Midwest. At this time, I cannot recall another name for a "water fountain." A water cooler is different with its upside down container of water, though.

I've heard 'coke,' 'pop,' 'soda,' and 'soda pop.' Interestingly, there are verying words in the Spanish language as well depending on what country a person is from or what region of a particular country.

On a side note, my family from Illinois was just down here in northern Atlanta (home of Coca Cola) and were surprised at a few different restaurants that the "pops" were served in small Coca Cola bottles with an accompanying glass of ice.
