the Alden tongue

Post by tbparker »

i'm having a problem with the tongue of my aldens. the right boots tongue keeps sliding over to the right when i wear them creating an uncomfortable feel on the front of my ankle, no matter how tight i tie it. most people have this problem alot with converse all stars because of the canvas. does anyone else ever get this problem or is my right foot just crazy?

It is a situation that has been discussed quite a lot. Some have had the tongue tacked to one side to stop it from sliding, others have 'trained' it to stay in one place.

You can find a lot of these through the search of the site, or I'm sure others will chime in again with their 'fix'.

No, you're not the Lone Ranger on that one. (grins)

I only had one of my boots trying to slip and I worked for weeks to train it to sit in place and it just didn't work so I stitched mine up like Jans and it works GREAT! \:D/

Mine does this too. Seems pretty common.
I've just learned to grin and bear it, so I pretty much don't notice it anymore.
