I have just been looking at a HJ that Indiana Texas Girl has (or had) for sale in the classifieds. The hat band clearly has the address '30 New Bond Street'. I have a HJ that also has this address on both band and 'coat of arms' label (I can't read ITG's hat's label). Now, in a previous thread it was stated that HJ were never at this address (which is just down the road from 38 New Bond Street, where they definitely were) and someone suggested that my hat contained a miss-print (on both band and label!). Reasonably, it was suggested that a mistake (on both?) may not have been noticed (which might say a lot for HJ's quality control) or that they noticed and didn't bother to correct it.

Well, the band on my HJ looks to be a different type from ITG's. Is it likely that spelling mistakes were made on different types of band (and label)? Or is it more likely that HJ were at 30 New Bond Street either before or after they moved to number 38?
Does it matter? Not really, but I'm curious...
