i am wanting to get a pair of alden boots but i wear a 5E 9.5 i was told they could special make up to a 5 E size but the problem being that my feet dont round off much at all, if you can imagine a 9.5 flipper thats my foot( and yes i can swim very fast, i can almost get on plane) i was wondering if anyone else has this problem? i would like to see some pictures of this size boot before i order a set. or if any one else could tell me of another boot with a wide toe box that is well constructed and similar in looks, pictures would be great also. any help would be greatly appreciated

thankyou

Well my foot is 6.5 5E so I guess I'm gonna hit that same issue.

Forget the pics of the boots, I wanna see pics of those FEET!!

I think I could literally put both of my feet in one of those 9.5 5E Aldens!

Are you aware of Magnoli's Adventure Boots? They are Alden replica boots yet are custom-made to fit your foot. I purchased some a few months back, and my review of them is here. They're a very nice set of boots.

I am aware...no offence Magnoli, I would like my first pair to be Aldens, and perhaps a Magnoli pair to knock around in...I hope thats ok.

I have a dropped arch and am looking for the support of orthopedic shoes.

I can't help you guys out with the wide foot thing. I am at the other end of the spectrum. I have a very long, thin foot. I wear an 11 1/2 with the width between a B or a C.

Actually, when I drive a race car, it can cause me to have more difficulty than some one with a wider foot, when doing a heel and toe downshift. My foot, at times, has actually slipped in between the brake pedal and the throttle.

I had a friend that taught me how to drive race cars, and I envied him and his wide foot. When he did a heel and toe downshift, it was so smooth. While his foot was on the brake, he just rolled his ankle slightly to the right, and it just blipped the throttle so effortlessly.

have you tried changing the angle of your foot to cover that distance? Perhaps a little more toe on the brake and more heel on the gas?

Oh yeah, I can do them. I can also tell someone how. But, if they want to watch someone do it, I suggest that they emulate some other race car driver besides me.
