I just took a look in Cileather.com on Dorfman Pacific Felt hat and I don´t get what´s so wrong to have it, it looks good enough to me!
It was named I.J. crushable felt hat...I´d buy it, if I wouldn´t know any better one....

For being the Dorfman it really doesn`t look that bad in the real photo with the customer wearing it. Perfectly acceptable as an adventure fedora.

I's good for one time use only. You will get a day out of it.

What I really like about the DPs is that you can cut the lose felt fairly easy with a pair of scissors to make some nice and warm inlays for your Aldens

Well to be fair, the DP fur felt hats aren't bad at all. They're supposedly moderatly tough, and the look isn't bad either. Its the wool felt ones that as you put it are "one-time use only." :junior: -IJ

*sigh* I remember when this place was all about the ideals behind the Indiana Jones outfit and the spirit of adventure...now there's this elitist attitude which is sickening.

NO!! - That is simply not true! I can't think of
anybody in here offending a fellow fan for not having the most luxurous / expensive / screen accurate piece of gear, as long as the spirit is captured by whatever he / she wears. But to simply WASTE your money on something that is per guarantee not worth the animal that was killed to make it, is STRICTLY against anything that has to do with the spirit of adventure or Indiana Jones IMHO! It's a waste of money, life and sources, and is a typical phenomenon of our disposable everything society rather than getting something to be proud of and then actually take care of that item and treasure it.
Making fun of someone making positive claims about a piece of... well, I won't call it "gear", so put in whatever you can think of - is rather a positive way of dealing with a - to most gearheads - difficult claim, than to be elite and go hacking on the posters feelings. I'd rather have a comment from me turned into a good laugh, then having people hacking on me. And that's what happened here.
Just my two cts.

Marc

It´s a sorry looking fedora compared to the original in the film...
Let´s just say it´s good for someone who can´t afford the BETTER ONES !! Period, end of this topic!
