Hi all!
Circumstances have forced me to sell my A-2 jacket recently. For future consideration, anyone have a real closeup pic of Peter's A-2? Can be Memphis Belle or Aliens version. The website is nice, but doesn't show the genuine article too well...

I'd like to see some detailed pics of Wested's A2s. Thos pics on the site are not very clear at all. I have the feeling that most A2 collectors probably shop elsewhere for their A2s and go to Wested solely for their Indy gear. Uh, no pun intended.

Platon is right - most people don't know this, but in the original script for Raiders, the character's name was Harrison Ford. Whenever he needed to teach, recover artifacts, fight Nazis, or even eat breakfast, he'd run into the nearest phone booth and change into... *dramatic drums*
Indiana Jones!!
Harrison Ford was his secret identity, named for the silent film actor of years before, contrary to popular belief.
They did decide to change this though early on because of a disagreement with Harrison Ford (the silent actor)'s agent, as well as a complication in placing phonebooths nearby in every scene in which Ford had to change. Finally, ILM wasn't ready to make the sort of committment that the phone booth speed changing effect would require, and directors Spielberg and Lucas weren't comfortable with having Harrison Ford (not the silent film actor) change in regular speed or slow motion on camera.
So Platon IS right... it's just that it's not widely known and most people just prefer to call him Indiana Jones all the time.
In Christ,
Shane

Shane speaks the truth. I'm glad this finally came out in the open. It is also told that the script contained yet another character, Weird-Grille Jones (played by Edsel Ford) who was supposed to be Harrison's sinister, half-French brother. The concept of a nefarious sibling was later abandoned (as mr. Toht points out in the film, it's instead Indy who is nefarious), and the sinister Gaul fellow was to develop into the character of René Belloq.
Not many people know these things.

I´ve never seen a Wested A-2 in person but it seems that the Wested A-2 is not 100% authentic. In the pic of Ford you can see that the small metal collar clip is missing. I would like to know if the current Wested A-2 has it.
