My jackets are usually size 36 Short, (odd size, I know) but Wested's jackets are already considered short. If I ordered it short, would I end up with a jacket that ends at my belly button or is the regular length just fine? I was going to contact Peter about this, but I figured I'd ask the experts around here first.

have you looked at Wested's site for the measurements? I had to shrink down the back measurements to achieve that "Raiders" look.

The sizing guide starts with 38R

I'd reccomend that instead of going with what your jacket sizes usually are, remeasure yourself and see what size Wested says you are. You never know, it may be different. :junior: -IJ

SIZING HINTS and TIPS
As each Jacket is custom-made, I require the following measurements.

Height: Your height in inches or metric.
Chest: Measuring under the arms round the chest (loose fit). Or alternatively, the size of jacket that fits well, i.e. 42 Regular.
Sleeve: Measuring the sleeve length from the shoulder to the cuff or, even better, from the sleeve of a jacket that fits you.

Add your back length: from the nape of your neck (where the collar of a well fitting t-shirt rests) to the top of your jeans pockets (on regular, not low rider jeans).

I'd also tell them your waist size. They sometimes taper the body if you are slim.

As everyone say tho', get yourself measured, preferably by a tailor.

If you at least give Peter good chest, arm (shoulder to first knuckle of your thumb - the onefurthest from your thumb nail!) & back measurements (back from nape of neck to the tops of your jeans pockets as KT said) you will get a jacket that will fit you.

Go up one size if you want to wear a jumper underneath or have big shoulders.

The thing with the sizing guide is that it's just that: a guide. That's just a collection of examples of common sizes. Go with your own size - and tell them you're worried if you get a short that it'll end up at your bellybutton. They'll take care of it for you.
