Cotton Wested

Post by crazylegsmurphy »

Hey All,

Just looking for a bit of advice. I recently lost 12 pounds by hitting the gym pretty much every day, with my goal being another 10 or so in the next month or two.

The thing is that now my cotton Wested is huge in the chest. I can only assume it'll look worse once the rest of the weight comes off, so my question is...do you think it can be altered to fit my new body type, or should I just put it up for auction/sale and get another one?

Since the Indy jacket is really designed to be a tight/military fit jacket a lose fit would not look good.

But hey what a good reason to get a new jacket!

Also, don't under estimate what a good seemstress is capable of doing with the jacket you have now.

Oh, and congrats on the weight loss

You lost 12 pounds? Dude - let me have 'em! You can put em right over my ribs...!

Congrats on getting into shape like that - good work!

I'd say upgrade to a leather Wested now that your Cotton doesn't fit. That's what I'm doing!

In Christ,

I would suggest another jacket as well. :-k

The Indy jacket has so many pattern pieces that would require changing, it would be cheaper and MUCH more efficient to order a new jacket. Sell the old one and order your new size.
