Inside collar wear .. input as to source?

Here are some pics of the inside collar (the part where the little leather flap to hang it on a coat rack with is) of my Wested. I've had this jacket for less than 4 months, and I have babied it the entire time I've had it. No rough outings, no rough weather or anything. I pretty much only wore it a small handful of times before the Comic Con, because it was way too hot to wear it any other time.

The only thing I ever "did" to this jacket was give it a dusting of fuller's earth, and none of it ever got on the inside collar. I wore it out tonight for the nostalgia of doing it, since it was technically barely chilly enough to get away with wearing it, and I noticed these two spots on the inside collar where the color has worn off. Here are some pics:

I have NO idea how this happened. This looks like what areas of my first Wested looked like after I took sandpaper to it, and I assure you, I have NOT done that here.

The only thing I can think of is that I possibly may have sweat so heavily at the Comic Con that the the brown color in the sections that rubbed up against my neck during the times it was soaked with sweat rubbed off, due to salts and other amino acids that separate body sweat from normal water.

Anyone else have any ideas as to what may've caused this? I guess it's some neat "natural distressing", but I was thinking of rubbing some brown Pecards on it. I'd hate to have this happen to the rest of the inside lining.

[EDIT]: I don't know why the screen has to be moved over to read the text, the images aren't that big...[/EDIT]

In my experience with my Wested, the lambskin is very fragile (for lack of a better word). Within a month of having it, there were little wear marks everywear. I wouldn't worry about it happening to the rest of the lining. Your kneck rubs in that area very often, causing the wear. I also got this on the ends of my sleaves from my hand rubbing across the tip.

That's a very unusual wear pattern, I had that sort of wear on the edge of my storm flap only after about 8-10 months of wear.

My only thought is that the piece of leather being used for the zipper facing may be particularly fragile for some reason.

It's even on both sides and you said you think your coat hanger might be to blame. I can't really see that happening but maybe change to a plastic one.

Neck hair. When it's cut nice and short, in comes in like your beard,..rough and scruffy. I could probably distress my jacket with my
5 O'clock shadow, alone. Especially lambskin.

That might explain it! I recently had my hair cut, and the neck hair was cut off, too.

Yeah, it doesn't take much to distress the lambskin. I had a pre-mod. Raiders jacket in lambskin a few years back. I ripped it several times, and the dye began to come off round' the cuffs/wrist areas, storm flap, and the bottom back panel of the jacket.

It looked great, but it doesn't take too long to distress  .

Kind regards,
