I've been looking around and I found this bag, similar to Indy's gladstone bag:

I also dug through my closet and found an old tweed jacket that looks a lot like Indy's. I'll post pics of it a little later on.
It seems what I need is the bow-tie. I know it should be fairly simple to find, but is there an online resource that I could pick one up from fairly cheaply?

Awww, for a moment there I thought that you were going to post pictures of yorself in a ripped shirt and pants with that all important rope bridge scene look.
Looking forward to seeing those Pankot Palace threads.
With regards to the bow tie, I'm sure that Hemingway would be able to answer that one.

Ha... that'll happen after I do something adventurous in the gear. The only problem with Pankot palace pics is a) the bow tie and b) my safari shirt is too small
I should have a new one on order pretty soon, but when I get the bow tie I'll just do one wearing a different dress shirt.
Hemingway... chime in mate

A very nice bag, BUT not screen-accurate! Indy's bag was a large doctor bag like this one:
I'm also interested in your PP-outfit and I think the best place to post the pics would be an already exĂsting thread:

BTW- if you still have questions about the outfit you send me a pm!

Here is my version of the bag. Not sure if it is screen accurate, I need to watch TOD again.
Regarding a bow tie, I say check local thrift stores first. Bow ties tend to sit around for a while.

@ real Henry: are you sure about the bag? I just watched ToD to see how close it came and it looked very, very good to me.
@Feraud: nice bag, but I'm not into the buckles. Is that a book by Richard Francis Burton I see on the shelf? Oh... nice rifle by the way
Pics are coming of the jacket.

Which one? The Burton book, that is. I'm a big fan.

It REALLY is a doctor bag, believe me, I was looking for one for about three years now and the one you see in the picture is the result. It's exact the same like Indy's, but it seems like someone overpainted the metal parts of it so it looks like some king of toy!
If you watch ToD again, a good scene to see the bag is the moment when Indy comes out door in the back of the plane, he has put his dinner jacket over his arm and holds the bag in his right hand. First it might look like the bag you found, but you can clearly see the same metal parts as one mine and only ONE handle. Doctor bags, when you don't carry, seem to look square, but if you do the look more like your bag.

As you can see in the pic, that's a safari shirt and pants in that bag
. Just toss the ol' Aldens in the shoe bag, and yer off! Just what every adventurer needs to carry his wardrobe!

You owe me a gin
Actually, I have thought about getting one of those, but as far as an adventurer's overnight/short traveling bag, to tell the truth I prefer that leather bag mentioned above.
Personal opinon I guess
