New Bullwhips

I wanted to share some pictures of two recently acquired whips made by Greg Fiebach.

Greg is a maker in So. California who offers his work on eBay. I don't know if he sells direct, or if he does custom work.

I am impressed by Greg's design values, by his plaiting, and by the fit, finish, and feel of his whips.

One wonders how many unrecognized, relatively unknown, but very able whipmakers there are out there.

I forgot to include descriptions of the whips.

One is a 14 plait 8.5' Australian style bullwhip (very light, fast, and flexible), the other is a 12 plait 10' Australian style bullwhip (heavier and nicely balanced). The plaiting pattern is so similar that they could easily be considered as a matched set.

Boggstandard, You must have a heck of a whip collection by now :D.

I've often wondered about that myself though, Just how many unknown whip makers are out there producing great product that no one really knows about. Theres a lot out there making trash too, but every now and then someone pops out of the wood work and just wows the market with there work. In any case those two are great looking whips, from the pictures that look like they are well built, sound and tight.

Wow! Those are pretty, Bogg!

The handles are very two-tone Jacka like!

Very pretty. Thanks for sharing.
