If anyone is interested, there are currently several 1917 S&W's, 1917 Colts, and one MarkVI Webley in great condition up for auction at AuctionArms.com. You may also want to checkout Gunbroker.com, as they also have these from time to time. Maybe this will help someone out.

Thanks for the heads up. Have you bought guns through an auction? How easy is it? What paperwork do I need to have in place before I can start buying guns online?
Thanks,

These two sites, operate very similar to e-bay. You will need to register, just as you would for e-bay, the difference being that you must hold a valid Federal Firearms License, in order for them to ship the gun directly to you. If you do not, that is not a problem. Most FFL holders, will receive shipment for you for a reasonable transaction fee. This will vary from person to person. As far as paper work is concerned, I have a friend who holds an FFL, and he does everything for me concerning the legal aspect. I just bid, send the money order with his address, and pay him for his trouble. I have never had a problem, but always read over the stipulations concerning the paticular item you are interested in. I would also check my state laws, as they vary from state to state.
I hope this is information is beneficial.
