I just received the new Westen Stage Props 2003 Catalog and guess what's in there.

What are your thougths on the quality of the products from Westen Stage Props? Have you ever ordered from them?

They're actually Lee Keppler props, just kept in constant stock. Lee's stuff is top notch.

I have only ordered the whip video from WSP. I think that the gear featured here is actually Lee Keppler's gear. I thought that I remember reading that somewhere.

I haven't ordered from them. I think Minnesota Jones ordered his whips from there.

Perhaps somebody could shed some more light on this topic.

P.S. - I would love to get a blank firing Desert Eagle similar to what the agents used in The Matrix. But, that's a discussion for a different group.

As Mike said, what's pictured in the WSP catalog they are actually Lee's gear. All they do is stock it for Lee and do the order fulfillment. As you all know, Lee's gear is top notch. With Lee being on the road so much, WSP fits the bill for us fans. They 99% of the time have all their merchandise in stock and ready to ship for instant gratification. It's a win all the way around for us, WSP and Lee.

Looks like they can't make up their mind which Webley they're selling, a Mk IV or Mk VI, according to the description and title. Looking at the picture, I think their title is correct rather than the item description. It looks more like the smaller frame Mk IV .38 rather than the .455 to me. the .455 Mk VI had a much heavier frame than the one shown, or at least the ones I've handled. I owned a Mk IV that looked like the one pictured, and it was a .38. Still a nice piece. Regards. Michaelson

Do you think this was done so that the Webley could fit in the holster? The bigger frame would take the bigger holster similar to what Indy carried.

The .455 Webley frame was as big and beefy as the N-frame Smith. Notice how anemic this one is next to the HE Smith in the picture above? I believe you've hit the nail on the head with that observation. This one WOULD fit the holster. A Mk VI would not. Regards. Michaelson

I thought Lee's guns were made of resin. Are rubber and resin the same thing?

Is that the same RESIN cast revolver that Lee has sold in the past? They call it "rubber" in the catalog. If it is the same prop gun, it's approx. $30 cheaper than buying it from Lee! :shock:

When I read this I was pretty surprised about the price difference (I bought one too), so I called WSP. Apparently it is a misprint and the price should be the same or near to Lee's price.

I believe with "mailorder" catalogues, they are probably smart enough to cover themselves with the old "prices and specifications are subject to change without notice"

This way they are covered incase prices change or vendors changes the product a bit...

I'd say to go their website, get their phone number, and give them a call. I've order two bullwhips, videos, and some poppers & falls from them. Great to do business with. Give 'em a call dude!
