At the risk of over-exposure (or over-promotion  ) I wanted to post a pic of an Indy whip I just finished. It's 8 ft, 12-plait kangaroo, with a slightly tapering handle.

Usually when I'm asked about kangaroo Indy whips, I am given a lot of measurements and/or photos and told 'make me THAT whip.' This customer just told me to make him an 8 ft whip and he wasn't specific about dimensions or anything, so I took the opportunity to study my collection of photos and measurements and put that information into a whip.

For prices or more information, please see my website or send me an email.

Very nice Adam, you did a good job on that bullwhip. I like the way the tapered handle turned out and the turks knot. Did you end up putting any varnish on it or are you leaving it natural?

WHEW! That is a beauty, Adam! I don't really like tapered handles, but that whip looks awesome as usual!

Hi Dan,

Thanks for the compliment. I will not be putting any shellac on this whip. Lately I've been staying away from shellac, though I'll probably start putting a finish on some of my whips once I get my hands on a spray-on leather sheen. Paul Nolan uses the stuff and it's is more durable and doesn't crack and flake like shellac.

Adam, nice job as always. About that spray-on stuff....I recently heard there was something like that. Can you let me know what exactly is the name for it? I'd be curious to see how it works also. Thanks.

Steve.
