I need help with trousers measure
I was just measuring myself considering to buy a pair of trousers but I really need help with that!
I know many of you are experts... when not taylors! So I think someone of you could explain me this.
I wear usually size 48 (in Italy, italian size). I've read it is equal to 33 inches which is approximately 81cm. Now, I bought 32 wested trousers and they are TOO baggy and generally TOO BIG! They look like a size more than mine.
I'm scared to get a 30".
Where I'm failing? There is something confusing me. Where should I take the measure? Give me anatomical indications please

mmh it seems that it's the same problem everywhere and not just something about italian sizes then!
Well I keep on measuring myself and I keep on getting 83/84 centimeters, maybe I'm measuring it wrong I don't know.
Don't know what to do with an eventual pair of trousers if I have to buy them online

Well of course just naked body, but thanks for asking... sometimes the simplest answer is the key.Indy Magnoli wrote:Make sure you're taking the measurement off the body and not over your clothes.

Is it possible that I'm low-waisted? That would explain why the Wested trousers are SOOOOOOO large downthere but still reasonably large on the waist

Ain't THAT the truth! Come on, Michaelson, I'll buy you a drink... A lo-fat one... well, make that two -- one for me as well!Michaelson wrote:Enjoy it while you can, erri my friend. Time WILL come (and you remember I said this when it occurs), you'll look back and try to remember when you once HAD a 31 inch waist and everything was 'loose' on you. It will all become a distant memory.
HIGH regards! Michaelson

AHAHAHA... what sort of pictures? Me naked or me wearing big trousers?
My girlfriend could have something to object in the first case
Ok well I've taken some measures out of my 32" wested trousers and I think next time I should try 30". Probably it's my perfect size, there is too much space in these. Thanks for the help guys and sorry for the pictures but I don't like showing my belly
Anyone interested in 32" Wested pair of trousers like new?
Kidding, I doubt I could sell these lovely trousers anyway, I'll probably keep them for an older age
