Club Obi Wan

Well i mentioned before that my roomate was given a S&W by his grandma, that used to be his Grandpas gun. I jokingly showed Dave indys S&W pics too see if it looked anything like it, and he said it looked alot like Indy's. He finally took some pics to show me and here are the results below. Is this indy's pistol, if so how much could this be worth? Hes interested in possibley selling it, but he might also keep it, and i sorta have dibbs on it right now, but hes not just handing it over lol. I do want to take some pictures with it first.

I think what you have there is a .38 M&P,or later commonly known as the model 10. If I could see the left side of the frame w/o the holster ,I could tell if it's an N-frame, which Indy's was. regards,hanson.

I agree Hanson, it looks too small to be an N-frame. From what I can see in the pics it looks to be an old model 10. I think I can make out ".38 S&W Special" on the barrel. Do you know what caliber it is? Anywho, if its an old .38 like I think it is then no, its not the same as Indy's Hand Ejector, but you could say that it is its little brother. It would make a very nice close enough gun. I'm not sure how much its worth. Judging by the pics $200 maybe more, maybe less. Its really hard to say without being able to actually see it in person.

Personally, if I was your roomate I wouldn't part with it for all the money on the world for the simple fact that his grandfather gave it too him.

I think you're right, J Weaver. I think it is a Model 10. In fact, the wear on it is almost identical to mine. That's pretty consistent with the wear on a police service revolver, which is what mine was. I picked mine up for $140 about 5 years ago.

The thing is, it's the cheapest I have and it's my favorite. The action is smooth as butter, light trigger, and dead accurate with the fixed sights. It's also cheap to shoot, and my wife loves it. It's so darn light and the recoil is negligible, so you can shoot all day and not have a sore hand the next day.

My advice would be to hang on to it. There's a reason that the Model 10 has been produced longer than any other handgun!
