Hi everyone, probably just the same as everyone else I have been watching all the posts and perusing through all the great info and deals here. So finally I decided to join and get all of your help directly
on my continuing to build on my gear.

So first off here are some pics. To give you a general idea where I started here is a collage from '97 of me in Ecuador when I first felt the need for "gear".
Image

Now to my current gear that I have started collecting since '99
The MKVII was the first thing I got and I ordered the strap with it. I can't remember where I got it, but I remember it was somewhere online.
By the way of all these pics I really only have 1 of each item, I just took shots in different light and angles.

Starting from the left is --natural light --- then flash-----then no direct light

My strap:

My Fedora:

My L.L. Bean shirt:

My L.L. Bean pant (Not too happy with the color.)
Image

My baby the Wested Lambskin Raiders version.

I am thinking of either making my own Grail Diary or just getting one from Magnoli. Not too sure. But which of these 4 corners look the best distressed to you?
Image

And finally me in my gear. You can see why I am not too crazy about the color of the pants. It is just about the same as the shirt. I know I need to fade the color out of the shirt, but I still think I need a darker color pant for Raiders look.

Well that is all for now. I had lost my web belt in my move to Cali from NY so the things I am looking into are in this order:

1. Boots
2. Web belt
3. Gun Belt
4. Whip & whip holder
5. Gun Holster
6. Grail Diary
7.............

Any help on preferences, quality, places to go I would appreciate. (One thing though, remember i'm a newbie. It took me 15 minutes of forum searching just to figure out what a IOAB whip is!)

Thanks for all the help and helping me to see that I am not alone!

Welcome to the madness... you came for the Gear but you'll stay for the people.

That's an awesome gear-set. Only thing missing is an Akubra Federation or an Adventurebilt. The rest of the stuff your looking for is pretty easy to find here.

Web-belts can be found at Solder City, and they come in a vast array of collors. They’re also cheap enough so you can buy one of every color to match the pants you own. (I have belts for two shades of Khaki, brown, black, and Olive…)

Screen accurate stunt socks, that is.

Welcome to COW, that's some nice gear you have. You should resize some of the pics, the max size is 640x480. viewtopic.php?t=9523

Sweet. I post before bed and I wake up with replies! Thanks for accepting me, and thanks for the links. When I go through the forum I always forget what post I was looking at that had a link say to Todds, so I appreciate your help again Ken.

Sorry about the pic size, I thought that was for "graphics" hosted by the forum. :( I'll work on the size adjust after work today. Thanks for keeping me honest from the start VP!

Great pics. Wested are now my favorite jacket but I think your pics show that an A-2 style jacket looks great with Indy gear. I guess I think so because that's how I did it for many years. Welcome!

The diary page is the first page of the printable diary from Indyquest. I am trying to figure out if I want to dedicate my time and resources for a mediocre diary or if I should jus tset up the cash for a Magnoli.

Great stuff Shawn and amazing action shots.

All of your stuff looks excellent.

I have the LL Bean dress chinos in almost every color. I never wear the khaki with the khaki shirt because it is too much khaki. The Sepia color isn't too bad right now, but the taupe is the Holy Grail of those pants. It took me a year to find taupe in my size.

Anyway, welcome!

Welcome Shawn,
I can help you id that hat as I have the same one around here somewhere. It's from Sushan's hats in Louisiana. It was my first Indy hat too; I ordered it from their website.
Your gear pics are great; super job setting up the Indyesque scenes.

Cheers,
Indybill
