Forgiove me my stupidity, but...
I am looking into buying an OD green WWII US military uniform shirt, and was wondering how to read the shirt sizes. They have sizes like 14.5 x 33. Is that just like regular/modern dress shirts? Neck: 14.5 x Sleeve 33"?

That's how I've always deciphered them, Andy. If anyone knows any different, please chime in.

The 14.5 is the collar and the 33 is the measurement from the collar to the wrist, I believe. Im a WWII reenactor, so the ones I have bought, that's how I've told sizes.

I think this site has information (cant remember, there are a lot of links though.)

They are cut large. So keep that in mind when you buy one online. I usually wear a 16.5 X 33 but can easily fit in a 15.5. Just something to keep in mind. 40's clothing was not baggy like the kiddies wear today. :D
