Yesterday as I got into work, the postman handed me the nylon whip made by jabahutt70/Steve (and sold/bought right here in the COW classifieds).
Man, oh, man this is a finely braided thing!
I couldn't wait 'til lunch hour to try it out, but I did. I even waited 'til after I ate.
So being this thing is two feet longer than the snakewhip I'm used to, and the handle adds another foot, the first crack in the parking lot was disturblingly close to ...my wallet, we'll say. It took a nip at my pocket. Then I got used to the length of it and made some wicked front and circus cracks, and even managed to duplicate them left handed as well.
After only five minutes of cracking, I got tired fast and also very sweaty. I haven't really had a good whip session since the summer - but this thing being nylon and not leather, I can thrash it a bit out in the snow. Maybe I can even relearn some of what I always forget over winter too.
Anyway, kudos to jabahutt70/Steve for some real fine work! And thanks for letting it go.
The only pic I have of it so far is one above, taken by its maker.
