Club Obi Wan

First and foremost, I just got my akubra hat from rick5150 and I am VERY SATISFIED This was a great hat for a great price, blocked by fedora no less! My question is a newbie question im sure.

My perception of these hats all this time was that they were a stiff type felt. Imagine my surprise when i found out the felt was not stiff. (sure makes it much more comfortable) Are these hats always loose like this or do they get this way from wear?

Yeah they're supposed to very floppy. Akubras and PB's are usually more stiff and need some breaking in.

You're fortunate....you didn't have to GO through the break in period we all usually have to deal with on these good hats....and Rick is a master in breaking in the hats for the most comfort.
