Has anyone noticed the wierd horrible center dent/teardrop/porkpie look that Indy`s hat has in the opening jungle trek in Raiders in a quick scene. I unfortunately cannot get any screen grabs but for those who can, check out the opening scenes right where DENHOM ELLOITS name appears on the scren and check out Indys hat. It is a back view but he looks up and it is a VERY wide center dent with a porkpie hump in the middle making it appear as a distorted teardrop crown.
My personal opinion is that it could be double and they just threw the hat on real quick to film that particular shot. Other shots you can tell its Harrison Ford by the face sillouhette but the hat looks correctly shaped.
Also, the scene right after that, in a long shot, it looks as though Indy is walking behind the guide without his hat on (which actually looks like Harrisons double) and in a scene before all this, he is flapping his jacket for air circulation.....so it is very hot in the jungle with leather and felt, huh, Dr. Jones?Bwahahahahahahahahahaha!

I've noticed that bash too - I thought he may have bumped his hat on a branch or sometihng.

I have heard that there are those who believe the true "Raider's Fedora" does not show up on screen until after Indy swings over the pit. I have not specifically searched for this when I watched the movie, but I think I will go take a look in a few minutes...

On the ship at the beginning of LC there's a shot - where he's climbing up to get to the large winch, where he's got a teardrop crown.

Fun stuff!

That shot has been my screen wallpaper for two years now :). I think that is Harrison.
