Guys and gals,

Need a little help. My 4 year old got hold of my federation and came into the room I was sitting and said, I"I want to take this out, it bothers me." He had half pulled the liner out of the hat. What is the best way to re-glue (and with wht type of glue) the headliner back in.

Plus, one person recently wrote about using felt hat stiffener. I just cannto get my swoops to stay in place and wonder what the best technique for keeping them there. is it stiffener or some other, better, method

Well, if it's an Akubra Fedreration, the liners are kept in place with a few dabs of glue. I think I read that your could do the same with a small spot of Elmers in the same places it was originally glued in. Since Elmers in water soluable, it won't harm the felt like the industrial glue does. That, or you could take some thread and stitch it in place. As for the stiffener, I'll let someone more qualified answer that one.

good luck with your hat fix. And remember, although it might be tempting, using your whip on your childern for messing with your indy gear is against the law. lol
