Well, i've read as much as i could on the matter and i think i'm almost ready.

But before making the big jump, i'd like to have you guys checking everything, so that i can be sure i'm not doing it wrong.

Just FYI, this is a "costume" jacket and i want it as screen accurate as possible. I'll buy another jacket later for my everyday use :)
Buying the "costume" jacket first on par with my measures allow for some more fixes later, when i'll order the 2nd jacket, which will be weared everyday, so...

(I have to double-check and add more measures yet)

Height: 172cm (metric) ==> 5'8'' (i think)
Chest: 95cm (metric) ==> 37.4'' (i think)
Sleeve: 60cm (metric) ==> 23.6'' (i think)
Jacket_Size: 48 (Fr) ==> 38Reg (UK/US)
Jacket style: Raiders Jacket
Leather: Dark Brown or Authentic Lambskin (i can't decide yet, what do you think ?)
Lining / Zip: Cotton Silesia
Side Fastener: Anodised Black Rectangular Slider(buckle)

Requests:
80's fit
X-Box Stitching
no gussets
Raiders size collar
Antique brass zipper
no inside zipper facing
tapered sleeves

I have a picture of me in a leather jacket that suits me perfectly, i think i'll upload it and add the URL to the requests, do you think that will help ?

What else could i request for screen accuracy ?

Thanks a lot for your help everyone

Welcome Altern,

Be sure to include your back length, everything else looks good. As far as leather . . . after doing my reading, authentic is just that if you want screen accuracy. Good luck.

Best,
Herr Jones

Request to extend the back panel to the sleeve. Wested always tries their best to do so, but sometimes, they leave a 0.5 cm gap.

I am partial to Authentic Brown, because it is... well, authentic!? Also, I think it captures the full range of the color of the Raiders jacket in various lighting situations.

You may want to consider goatskin as well, but here is an important thing to look at:

IF its in fact a constume jacket, you'll probably want to wear it with a holster, now ordering 38 reg for a guy your size (my hight as well) will get you screen accuracy, but because ford was taller, the jacket's length will conflict a bit with the top of the holster, you may consider getting it an inch or two shorter for holster room, that's what I'm doing with my next Wested... lemme see if I can get you some pics I used on another forum:
EDIT:(used new pics instead)
Sorry for the size, didnt wanna take up too much room, let me know if you'd like bigger pics, or a more thorough shot, I'm that hight (about 5'8" 5'9") and I have a DB Goat 38Reg...

EDIT, alright I think these pics may be more informative...

Wear the belt a little low with a gun in there to weigh it down, and you're cool:

Wear the belt closer to where Ford wore it, and/or take out the gun, you and might get a bit of a silly look on a guy our hight:

Also note: zipping the jacket, A-la Ravenbar scene helps the holster effect out as well...
Hope this helps!

Thx for replying guys !

I think i'm going for "Authentic" finally. It must be called like that for a reason :p

Special thx to Rusty, i hadn't considered the holster issue and your pics were quite explicit

Thx again, and keep coming the replies about how getting a "screen accurate" jacket !

To repeat, it was named 'authentic' as it was spec'd from an unfinished original Raiders jacket that Peter found when they moved the Indy jacket production line to the Little Wested House location.

Glad I could help, good luck with your jacket, one other consideration is that you might care to get your jacket a little bit shorter in the sleeves, I'm glad I did, watch the "Snakes... why did it have to be snakes..." to see what I mean there...
