New Winrich - Fabulous

Around November based on reading posts here I knew Adam would provide a great whip for a fair price.

I asked for a 10ft 12plait in cowhide medium brown, essentially a Winrich copy of a David Morgan 455 kangaroo (the screen accurate Raiders whips).

Received it in about a month, in time for Christmas. AWESOME quality. To show how close the whip is in color and design to the 455 and an actual screen accurate whip, see the photos here (if links don't work, cut and paste. This is my first post to IndyGear!)

Here's my Winrich:

Here's a prior IndyGear post photo of the Morgan 455:

Here are two pics of the actual LucasFilm Archive exhibit, these props were probably from Raiders. I was able to see the exhibit in Pittsburgh, Carnegie Science Center, during the holidays.

Great work by Adam, can't wait to try cracking once weather breaks.

Canyon,

Actually, the Morgan bullwhip doesn't belong to Indy45. It belongs or belonged to Agent5. Indy45 just wanted his cowhide whip to look as close as possible to Agent5's.

It's a minor detail, but I thought I'd clear that up.

Thanks all for the kind replies.

Adam was also very patient with all my pre-purchase questions like:
- What length whip is most screen accurate? (Consensus is 10ft);

- When should I treat the whip with Pecards? (With leather treatment, you won't have to worry about treating the whip right away. I put plenty of grease inside the whip while I am making it. You'll only have to treat it if you've gotten it wet (apply grease after the leather dries), and I usually grease my fall after every time I crack the whip. And generally grease the whip every few months or so, depending on how much you use it. The more you use it, the more it should be greased. If you don't use it, grease every six months or so.)

Indy45
