Here's a whip that was started by Paul Stenhouse that I finished. Paul plaited both bellies of the whip, cut the bolsters, cut and pared the overlay, and I did the rest (plaiting the overlay, put on the fall, knots, etc.).
It's 10 ft long made from natural tan kangaroo. I'm still trying to decide if I want to keep it or if I want to sell it.

Looks mighty fine! How many plaits did you use for the overlay?

The whip looks gr8, Adam! 12 plait overlay by my estimation, Randall. I'm curious, though, how did you in fact have the opportunity of finishing a work started by Paul? Did you by the whip unfinished from him?

I asked Paul if he would make a whip for me before he left for New Zealand. He agreed, and I sent him a hide to use. It turned out that the hide wasn't quite like what he was used to, so he sent me the work that he had done up to that point and I finished it. I'm trading Paul for the work he did.
Yes, the whip is 12-plait.

Hey Adam,
the whip looks absolutley awesome! if you deside to put it on ebay,
are you going to call it ''The StenRich bullwhip'' that'd be cool,
.
Cheers

That's pretty funny, Jim
Maybe Paul and I should've found a third person to work on the whip, then it could have a lawyer firm sounding name,
Like
Morgan, Stenhouse, and Winrich.
About putting it on Ebay, I don't think the first three months of the year are good times to sell whips on there, so I'll probably be holding on to it for a while.
