What are the specifics of the whip you got? Do you have pictures?

Have you visited Bullwhip.org for some basics of cracking?

Harrison,

If trying to crack the whip is hard on your arm, you're probably doing it wrong. I cracked your whip before I shipped it and I found it easy to crack. I strongly recommend you pick up a video that shows the basics of whipcracking, such as Mike Murphy's Fundamental Whipcracking techniques, or Simon Martin's DVD which also gives a lot of good information on whip care.

Good Luck,

Adam
