Womens khakis get all the luck.

Post by Obiwampa »

Has anyone else noticed that Womens khakis seem to get all of the double back pocket flap action? Mens khakis, not a pocket flap in sight, maybe one if you are lucky, but womens khakis? They are HOGGING all the back pocket flaps! In only one day of looking I noticed about 70% of the women I spotted were sporting two back pocket flaps, about 50% of those were pointed! :x Checking out the back of womens pants is hard work, but someones gotta do it. (In the name of science)

I guess you'll just have to start cross dressing then. If you look around, you can find men's trousers with back pocket flaps. In fact, I see them all the time in thrift stores.

I can here it now:

Wife/girlfriend, "I saw that!"

Gearhead, "I was just checking out her pocket flaps!"

I'd dare say that the reason men's pants don't come with flaps too often is because we carry wallets. It leaves us with less to fool with when making purchases.

I actually got caught doing that once! When I explained myself she looked at me really hard for about 15 seconds and then said "You know, you probably should have just let me think you were checking her out" Pfft, some people

Coming from anyone else I wouldn't believe it. Well, unless it was bink, or Jerry or...um, never mind.

IMHO, if you have a wife/girlfriend, you could get them to buy a pair of these pants and steal the flaps off the back pocket to out on your own. Oh and bink, get your big a** out of my way. Illinois

Nope, it's the poof in his pants that make it look big. (Don't touch that, I dare you.)

Those flaps can be a bit tormenting some days...I couldn't get my over-stuffed wallet out one day, and for lack of any other explanation of why I appeared to be wrestling with myself, told the women waiting for my credit card, "Honest, they really are my pants." Still not sure why I said that...stupid thing to say in retrospect, but she seemed to understand.

I find pocket flaps to be slimming.

You know, why make a woman buy the pants if all you want are the flaps? Just take them up to the register yourself. I doubt the sales clerk will say anything, especially if a comission is involved. Better yet, I know some people have gotten a pair of men's khakis with the leg too long, and used the extra material to have pocket flaps made. That way, you know your flaps match the rest of your pants.
