Woo Hoo! My New Wested Arrived, In Record Time! ! !

I ordered my new Wested exactly two and a half weeks ago, and it arrived this morning! My last Wested was ordered 1999, and it was a lambskin Raiders in dark brown.

My new Wested is a ToD goatskin in dark brown, with one piece gussets, satin sleeves and cotton body (linings). Comparing the two, the differences are as follows:

I ordered the new Wested a size larger, and it was a great move. I have more room to move, but it still looks "the part." I also had the sleeves tapered, and the folks at Wested did a remarkable job. The back action pleats are deeper than the old ones, and thus far, seem to open and close much better than the old jacket. The goatskin feels thicker and heavier, but retains the movement of the thinner lambskin. A great choice, in my opinion! The colors of the new dark brown and the old dark brown are spot on... I could mix and match pieces of both jackets, and just by looking, you'd never know the difference in color. The collar on the new jacket is just a tad smaller than the old one, but not tremendously so. Actually, I like the older collar better, but they both look great.

Now, I get tho smell the rich Wested smell as I begin to break in a new friend!
