I found a new shape

Since I so rarely see a new hat shape, I felt I should share. A guy went into Peters Bros. and took in a hat and asked if they could copy it. He said there were only two ever made, and the other was buried with the guy who made them. Well, Joe Sr. called me up and said he had a hat he, or the two guys working for him, couldn't shape and asked if I could come down and do it. I was curious so I said I would. When I got there I shaped the copied the shape of the hat in ten minutes or so, then was told that the man had said it took the other guy two days. this was saturday of last weekend... I just took out one of my old hats and did the shape again, so now there are 4
(3 above ground).

Wonder what the original maker wanted to accomplish with it.

Did they shoot the guy who made the first two?

Is it a star, a skull or a butt imprint?

A butt imprint?
You crack me up
All jokes aside, it's not an easy bash. I'm impressed that you could do it in ten minutes.

Very impressive Jimmy. I remember the one at Peter Bros, that was a face on the top of the crown, did you do that one too?

Wow, Jimmy! Hey, you think you could do an Indy hat with a bash of Harrison Ford on it?
If anyone could, it'd be you!

There is a smiley face crown he did in the other pictures.
Sort of looks like Ford...

That's an interesting bash, but with it the hat reminds me of a fireman's helmet for some reason!

And the Indiana Jones relevance...

JP is one of our hatmakers. No more Indy significance than when Fedora post's one of his 'Bogie' styled hats for folks to see, so no harm, no foul in this case is my opinion.

Ford's experience in westerns may have given him hat shaping skills he used in Raiders.

I can only write that I'm glad Minnesota used his truck pic as an avatar. Like I didn't re-check my bash enough after seeing it once.
