Hi guys, another question:

I received a sample of the dark brown goat and it seems almost black. Is the darkbrown goat really that dark? or does it just appear so due to the size of the sample? Thanks.

Ive often wondered the samething. I swear I've never seen a pic where it looked brown. Its like if I didn't know its brown I'd think its black. :?

at the QM last weekend I got to check out Indiana Tone's new Dark Brown wested.I noticed that what type of lighting your in depends on whether the jacket looks Dark Brown or black.

That is very true, in many lights it looks black or border line, however I find that that goes the same for the movie jacket as well, just look at williams's avatar :c)

I chose dark brown because I saw way more authentics that I thought looked too light and chocolatey than I did dark browns that I thought looked too dark or too black, and I'm very happy with the choice, but it really comes down, I beleive, to your color preferences in general, and another influincer was that I wanted the jacket to contrast more with my LL Bean shirt, which is darker

The way the colour looks depends on the light. My dark brown goat seems to be very dark ('though not really black) in artificial light - the kind you have in subway stations, but it looks really brown in afternoon's sunlight.
Most of the time I would describe the colour as "chocolate".

Jens

This is the jacket that will most likely have that new Relic Raider lighter Tone won at the summit in it's left pocket in the next few days.

I had the chance to see Indiana Tone's brown goat jacket in the bright and blazing Phoenix sun, and it's definitely brown, and a very, very nice looking jacket it is.

Tone also showed me his heavily distressed lamb -- gee, Tone, you didn't just distress that lamb -- you humiliated it, tortured it and said really mean things about its parents! (But for now you convinced me not to try my hand at distressing :) )

:D No, not ruined. But I realized that what looks good in pictures might not look so good in person, and vice versa, if that makes sense. I guess I was willing to try the acetone-type treatment, but I had second thoughts about taking sandpaper to that soft lambskin . . . Call me a sucker.

That was on second thought -- no guarantees I won't have third thoughts . . .

I bought the darkbrown goat, it looks dark indoors, but is a nice brown outside. Get a goat, I did. Man this thing smells good!

Gee, Tone, hard to believe after you hung out with those goats that you'd order a jacket made out of one of their relatives

'Course, you know what they say: If God had wanted us to be vegetarians, why'd he make animals so tasty and wrapped in such nice, wearable material?
