I've searched around but I don't remember the correct term that was used.

I'd like to see a picture of the new inner zipper leather thing inside the storm flap. I've got a jacke with out it and I doubt very much that it would hang the same if I had that leather inside the zipper. (like getting a newer model Wested)

When did they start adding those? I hear you can't get one w/o now days, even if you request it.

I agree Doc. I've always thought that the facing along the zipper effects the drape of the jacket. IMO, with the heavier leathers it keeps the upper part of the storm flap from relaxing and add stiffness to the front of the jacket.

The collar facing I'm lead to believe, were added after customer complaints of the lining wearing out too quickly with the older Wested jackets. Can't date that change over tho', haven't been around long enough

As for doing the jacket without it, you should be able to get this. BUT......it would be a custom feature & therefore Peter would not take the jacket back for exchange should it not fit right, extra. It's my understanding that Peter will work with his customers to add or remove any feature of the jackets, but on the understanding of the above returns policy

Skippy's right. You can request your jacket without the leather facing, but then you can't exchange or get a refund on it. This is definitely still true; I got mine on Monday without any leather facing inside the zip, as per my request !

Ah, cool. I thought I read awhile back that they were refusing to leave it off.
