I picked these up about a week ago at an antique store in Central Texas. They're too short for me, but they fit my BF perfectly (he's a 36 waist and 30 leg), so I snapped some pics to get the full effect of the pants with the gear. What do you all think?

Okay, see the first post for the pics.

Nice! The color is perfect for Raiders. Are they pleated? I've seen some with pleats some without; some with pocket flaps, some without. And one perfect pair.

Wow! A great find. Those are authentic 'pinks', correct? The color looks just like my Wested pants.
I think the flat front are authentic too..

JW, no pleats but I think it has a pocket for a pocket watch. I may consider putting these on ebay if my BF doesn't want them.

I think the color is really good on them. You could have told me these were Wested pants, or something else of that caliber, and I would have believed you. Good find.

If you really aren't going to keep them, PM me. Sounds like they might be close to my size, since they look just a *little* long on him.

P.S. I've heard before that Indy was NOT wearing the pinks, but looking at them there, I'd have to be convinced again...those seem very close to me.

They look great, and I even like the color...

May I ask how much they were?

When my Dad was an Air Cadet in WWll, he was allowed to dress in officer's clothing. He told me how beautiful the uniforms were, especially compared to the enlisted people.
Orvis is making the shirt and pants, but the price is close to $200 each. I think your BF was really lucky to get a pair of these and to have a nice GF to buy them for him.

I think these pants are great, especially the pocket flap shape. My Westeds don't seem to have the right shape to them. I personally like the no-pleat look.

Indy's pants are pleated, but the TOD poster of him standing in the anchient stone doorway holding the machete shows him wearing non-pleated pants. Interesting how the painter didn't research enough.

Well, I may be putting these on ebay after the QM if no one there is interested. I'm probably going to ask $50. And if no takers there, they'll go on ebay, where I am pretty confident they will sell.

I'll definitely take a look there, if you are planning to bring them anyway.

Just packed them with some vintage stuff I may consider selling.So you're more than welcome to look at them. I have a vintage wool skirt/jacket suit your wife might wanna take a look at too.

I completely missed your post about the outfit for my wife...darnit. Oh well, she only made it Friday night anyway, and we weren't headed back to the rooms THAT night!

Bink, it turns out these were EXACTLY my size...very spooky, to put on vintage pants already tailored to my weird dimensions. Since the pants fit ME to a 'T', so *I* must be ITG's boyfriend. Thbbbt!

Thanks again for bringing these to the QM, ITG! I got a kick out of getting a 'color correction' btwn whipcracking and dinner.

How do you know they're not my exact size, too? I wear a 36x30. I'm short. I can't help it. So does that make ME Holly's boyfriend, too? Maybe she's not telling us something....

Just look at it this way, you have one boyfriend for each movie of the trilogy! Whenever you watch a specific Indy movie, the coresponding boyfriend gets to sit with you! ...Somehow I think Jerry gets Temple of Doom...

Which of the photos do you think shows the color of the pants the best?

I checked at my surplus store and didn't see any "pinks" or WWll stuff. If you pass by the store, will you please see if they have another pair? I'm 36x30 but a little larger would be great( always can be altered) . Maybe you can help me out ?
I'll be in Austin at the end of January for the birth of my new grandson. Are you and your BF near there? My daughter could get the pants from you and pay you.

The antique store was in a small town in central Texas, at least 2 hours away (between Waco and College Station somewhere on Hwy 6). I don't even remember the name of the city but there was a well dug and sitting in the middle of the store). But those were the only pair there.

I'm about 3 hours from Austin. Will you be traveling through Fort Worth/Arlington? I don't have any pants to sell, but wouldn't mind meeting up with another gearhead.

Oh, hey, that's a weird visual for you...can I at least take them off first? Oh, no the visual just got worse...

But my answer would be that first pic, Prof. Ed - the other three were closer to the camera, so the flash washed the pink tone out and made them look like a more typical brown, which they aren't. I'd call them a taupe w/ a pink undertone.

Also, go peek at this thread, it's got pics of Holly's pants that I got into. Er...oh, heck.

hahaha...that reminds me, I was watching a bit of 'Star Wars: Empire Of Dreams' on the History Channel last night, and Mark Hamill was shaking his head that the backers were way more worried about weird things than what really mattered...for instance, they were fixated on whether Chewbacca should be wearing pants. They suggested lederhosen. No joke!
