Just wondering. Got my jacket a couple of months ago and now it's getting into some hotter weather (not very hot yet though). So it's been sitting in my wardrobe for a few weeks. Just wondering how long these jackets take to dry out enough to be damaging to the jacket? I've been putting off buying anything to treat it with because 1) pecards isnt avaliable here and it's very expensive to order it to australia and 2) I'm not sure what a good alternative would be to buy in australia. Im hesitant about asking someone in aleather jacket store cos they'll probably try to peddle whatever stuff they want to see to me and not neccesarily the best product for a goatskin jacket.

I wouldn't worry, the seams and lining will fall apart long before the leather deteriorates. Remember, loads of flight jackets from WWI still survive today in excellent condition, without the application of any product. Wear it hard and enjoy it.

I may have metioned it before, but I've had my jacket for over 2.5 years, have never conditioned it, and only just now (especially after it got soaked in the rain several weeks ago) can I tell that it's not as soft and supple as it once was. I dont think you'll notice any deterioration in the leather any time soon.

Ive heard a of product that is used for Bullwhips, jackets etc, Called Aussie, available on line and made in your neck of the woods so to speak! supposed to be the nearest thing to pecards. Hope i helped.
