I just got a old flight jacket from the 50's or 40's, simmilar to the A2 jackets. I guess the jacket must be made of goat or lamb, but I do tempt more to the goat.
The distressing and collour are amazing! I only have this picture from ebay right know, but I will post other pictuzres soon!
Unfortunaly the jacket doesn't fits me

Intersting because the pockets appear to be hidden, rather than patch pockets.

Sure it's not horsehide? Alot of those old jackets were made out of horsehide because there was alot of it around back then.
Great looking jacket!!

Nice jacket, Breineder.
Looks like satin body -
Just curious, why did you purchase a jacket that does not fit you?
(a gift for a friend/family member or just for your collection?)

I would ditto that. Those flightjackets were mostly made of horse. If that wasn't availibale of goat ...
Cool looking jacket, Breineder! Awesome natural (!) distressing!

If that is horsehide it is thin. Look at the way the sleeves are draping.

I'd say either goat or cowhide myself. Regards! Michaelson

I think people used to have shorter arms than they do today.. I've bought jackets (off ebay) and sleeves had been shorter than same size jackets of today. Or maybe I just have long arms? But the old jackets seem to be made shorter as a rule. That's a good looking jacket for sure.

Actually it's a fact that people were a wee bit smaller in the old days. Anyone who has really old furniture will tell you it was smaller back in those days because people were generally smaller.

Looks like the knit cuffs have been replaced, but the knit waist is original.
What size is it?

I bought it on ebay becouse it was pretty cheap and the seller didn't knew the actuall size. In fact the jacket is something like 38. The zipper looks good but it doesn't work. This jacket is devinitly not a horsehide, and I'm pretty shure that it is goat.
Too bad that it doesen't fit me. I'm going to take pictures of it today or tomorrow

So, here are some other pictures:
I love the collour and especcialy the way it distressed over the past years. So, what do you think what kind of leather is it?
AND
don't you think that the jacket (with one eye closed on the pattern) extremly Raiders?

Yep. Admiral Nelson was only 4 foot odd. So, if you work back the shrinking size of people through the ages...
...those knights in shinning armour on great chargers?
Midgets on Shetland ponies.
...the dragons they so valiantly fought?
Newts
Oh BTW, nice jacket
Shame about the size tho'

Those pockets are still throwing me. I don't think I've ever seen any like it before.
Sure could use a good coat of Pecards!
Agreed, it looks like goat.

Make yourself a life-sized stick figure out of 2" PVC plumbing pipe and fittings and put the jacket on display. Add some pants, a shirt and Fedora too.
