My Indy gun, plus other pic's of my favorites

Post by Indiana Croft »

Hi all I have had this S&W for oh about 15yrs now, I bought it because it looked like Indys (one of my 1st gear aquisitions). It's a .38 special, even has teh laynard.

Here's my "Indiana Croft peice". My HK USP45 match weight.
Lara Crofts weapon of choice.

And heres one with all my favorite weapons of choice.

Now heres a question for Michaelson, Hemingway Jones said to me in a PM that you might be able to help me with finding someone who can make a Indy holster for my HK. This same person might be able to help me in making a holster similar to Ms. Crofts (tactical)
Enjoy the pics and any coments would be great.

I'd suggest El Paso Saddelery. They've done custom work for me, and could probably customize their 1860 flap holster to do the trick.

Hemingway Jones, bringing people together for almost 40 years. 'Kind of warms your heart, don't it?

OK. Big dumb question, but is that Lara Croft gun a real firearm? HK, is Heckler and Koch, I am assuming.

Nice S&W, Croft! I have a S&W Victory in .38 S&W which looks identical to yours. Is yours an actual Victory, or a M&P? They're the same revolver, really.

The hat on the left is an Akubra, and the other is a Beaver Blend Twenty I converted. Neither hat is in my possession anymore, but the revolver still is! The gloves have been VERY broken in since that pic.

I always wondered that too, but it turns out the answer is YES.

See here:

Apparently it's a Heckler & Koch USP Match 9mm (x19, whatever that means), with some sort of doo-dad on the end...which has a real purpose, but the gun aficionados didn't seem to completely agree in that thread as to which type of device it was.

(I actually dug around HK sites, both official and unofficial, for a long time...before I gave up and typed "what type of heckler koch does lara croft use in tomb raider" into Google...boy, Google is way smarter than I am. ;)

J

P.S. I found this tidbit in the process - read this page, and you'll learn of another bizarre Heckler & Koch tie-in to Tomb Raider. Cool!

Oh...and the HK forums turned out to be the motherload for Jolie/Croft pics, as they adopted her as their unofficial Poster Girl. I now have a bunch of Jolie/Croft pinups for your locker, Hemingway. PM me!

Wow wee! Thanks, Jerry!
I honestly thought that was a fake gun. It is kind of funny that it is real; almost like finding out that the Phillipino Army uses Blasters!

Yep Hemingway it's a real semi-auto.
I orriginally purchased a standard USP45, I found the match weight (it's used for compaition) on ebay, bought it then the task of finding a longer barrel. Contacted HK about getting an extended barrel, and I belive that I was the last person to get one out of them, it was quite an ordeal. As evey one can tell by my name, I love the Tomb Raider games as well as Indiana Jones movies hence my name. The HKUSP I have is .45 cal.
and Hemingway if ever you decide to come, well empty a clip or two or three.

And Bink I do believe that I too have a Victory S&W, when looking around the pistol I don't see any thing that say's Victory but I did find a V.

It won't actually say "Victory" on it. The V mark is likely a proof mark. Mine's a fun little plunker!
