First of all, i want to thank lost-ark (& Indiana Dudley ) for their rapidity and quality of the stuff !
even me who i'm not a manual guy succeed in attaching the bagstrap to my mark 6
I should have choose 72" for the lenght. I like wear my bag just over my knees and 65" is too short to have the buckle in the middle of torse.
I'll post some pics as soon as possible !

yes -sorry
But it's not much.
It looks great. Nice Bag!
You cat get your local leather shop to cut a longer strap. Just bring the "old" strap so you can pick a similar type of leather for the new strap. I'll bet they'll even help make holes for the buckle and the fasteners.
Regards

Honestly i think it's the perfect lenght for ordinary use because if it goes any longer it will hit your leg every step. And it's not comfortable to walk a lot with a too long bagstrap. I also usually have it at that lenght because it's also more comfortable to take things from it while you're walking. And don't forget you dont have a whip on that side aswell!

Really ? here is Jean Paul Belmondo in "Un Singe en Hiver" best french film of all time with Jean Gabin.

I would like my bag be a few 10cm down. And If i do that, the buckle will be on my navel !

That strap looks great. I like the length about the way it looks on You picture but I understand what You mean. Someone mentioned, in another thread, that it was a smart idea to order the long strap and then shorten it if possible.
I really like the color of that strap...
Cheers
PS: I remember Belmondo very well too.... Used to work in a cinema in the early 70's ...

The look of that strap made me order one, so I look forward to seing it in "real life". What did You decide about the length of Yours?
Come to think of "real life". Whatever happened to Louis De Funes?

as k suggested, i'm gonna get my local leather shop to cut a longer strap.
Louis de funes had heart condition and died in 1983 due to a crisis. Easy to believe when you saw the energy he burned during his films

Bastoon,
There's nothing wrong with your strap. It's a bit hard to tell without your shirt tucked in, but it looks just right. Indy wore his bag level to the waistband of his pants. Your jacket should cover part of the bag when they're worn together. That strap looks right to me.

In some scenes the strap is the same as your pic Bastoon

Just received my strap and a gunbelt from Lost-Ark.Net.
Very, very fine work! I had the belt custommade with a brass buckle and it looks perfect to the warm tan of the leather.
The strap is in a class of its own. Very fine and durable leather and a great feel to it. The length was 72" and it is perfect for my height: 1.80 cm.

Reconsidering my point of view with Shawnkara and Erri's comments, i made some adjustment as screen acurate as i can (for the lenght),
following what Shawnkara said :
Indy wore his bag level to the waistband of his pants".
And Erri
And it's not comfortable to walk a lot with a too long bagstrap. And don't forget you dont have a whip on that side aswell!

Sorry, I liked it better the first time. Now the buckle is a little too high and the bag a little too high too - IMHO.
It seems to me the bagstrap has the correct length for the screenaccurate look, but the adjustment of the placing of the buckle makes the whole difference. I like to hang my bag as shown in my photo, with the buckle placed as shown, and I think You could achieve the same look with Yours.
I dont understand that whip-remark. That IS the side You should wear the whip... Am I missing something?
May I ask what gunbelt You're wearing? (What?! You're wearing it opposite - just like Indy Magnolis shirtmannequin..
)
Just my 2 cents.
Cheers

That's not a real problem because if he will wear the bag like indy does (more on his bum than on the front side) the buckle will go down by itself and it would be screen accurate

Yeah, as I said: The adjustment of the buckle makes all the difference. When I use my bag every day it is adjusted to the length that suits me for that purpose, and it can easily be adjusted to a more movieaccuratelook when I pose in front of the mirror... (I actually dont do that, it's just a manner of speaking...)

Fine looking gear IndyK! Can I ask, is that their "dark tan" bag strap? By the way I can see the grooves from here. (Oops that's another thread!)

Yes, thats dark tan allright. Grooves? No grooves on this strap, must be the light....................... NOT!
This strap has very deep and very clear grooves. I ordered with grooves because I wanted screenaccuracy
These grooves are more visible than the MBA ones that can hardly be seen on photos.
