I am looking for a gift for a friends birthday who just loves my boots, I just don't feel like dishing out that much cash.

I had just found the AE boots today too. Didn't post them as they weren't really THAT close. There's closer boots than that, though the price is pretty good.

Search on 'Red Wings'...there are many threads on using those as alternates. Still not CHEAP, but generally in the $100-$200 category as opposed to the $300 for Aldens.

Guess it depends how much you LIKE this friend... ;)

If you definitely want to stay under $100, you probably aren't going to find much more than the J Crew or the AE...except, hang on, "There is another..." (say in best Yoda voice)...

...ah! Here it is: BA Mason. Check out the 950 model at this link:

Nice find Jerry! For $100 I might order a pair of those just so I can give my Aldens a rest every now and then.

Right, I didn't find those. I forget who did at the moment, but a quick search would turn up the answer. I was just digging through the bookmarks I kept when I was trying to decide which boot myself.

EDIT: I just looked, and the credit goes to...hahahaha...this is funny...Texas Raider! TR, why didn't you say so? :)
