Hey all,

Does anybody have the new HJ with the original Raiders block? If so, how does is stack up against the Adventurebilt beaver. In reference to block shape, taper, color, felt quality, brim shape, crown shape, and screen accuracy. Thanks,

Regards,

Jersey Raider

The only thing you can compare is the block and color, as this is an apples to oranges comparison...the HJ is a rabbit blend felt, where the AB is a 100% beaver felt. No other way to compare.

This is a promise, which thus far has not been delievered upon. We are still waiting for proof that the old blocks are in a warehouse somewhere and will be used again. There was a letter from them that stated as much, but so far, no models that purport to use these blocks have been shown.

As the person who posted the topics on the new hj i wouldnt worry to much on them not delivering as of yet.....this is a big company and produces on a large scale and to suddenly withdraw a line of products and then overhaul them it will take a while. Personally the guy i talked with is totally ligit and it seems things are moving forward.

thanks

Thank you, sir!

And Aviator, I chalk that up to logistics! I am cautiously optimistic that they will find those original blocks. There must be quite a few.
