I got a pair of those tropical wool marine pants that were in another post. I took those along with some pictures of the pleats from the Wested pants to a friend of mine who has been making clothes for 30 some years and asked her about making the indy pants for me. She said she would and the first pair should be done sometime next week. The fabric is a 100%cotton that is woven tightly. it is a little off in the color cause instead of a kacky tan it is a kacky tanish green so I'm told. I'm slighty color blind so it just looks lick a tan to me. The pants are also going to have a zipper instead of button fly. I figure it is easyer to do a zipper and you can't see the buttons anyway. I am getting 5 pairs made so I don't have to get any other pants for school. Plus it is a great deal it is going to cost roughly 20 bucks a pair and I get the first one for free. Next year if I need a couple more pairs, The pattern is made to my measurments so I will be able to get a couple more.
I will try my best to get some pics of them posted as soon as the first pair is finished.
The best thing for me is the fact that they will be washable and durable instead of dry clean only And since its 100% cotton If I decide I want a more accurate color I can dye them.
