Hello everyone. I have been reading the COW forums for some time and I have now decided to join in. I currently own a Bernie 8ft whip and I have had a Duke 10ft on order since the middle of July so I am hoping for confirmation that he is able to start this soon.

Thank you all for your very interesting posts that have helped me with my choices and starting my collection. I know you all like pics so once the Duke arrives I will take some snaps and post them.

Kind regards to all

Jon

Welcome to COW, Jon. :D
Congratulations on the whips.

Have you practiced much with your 8 footer yet?
From what I hear, the 10 footer is a little easier to handle once you've had some practice with a shorter whip.

Nice to have you onboard,

Hello all and thanks for your welcome. to answeryour question Spooky
I have had a small amount of use with the 8ft (only got a small garden)and can get a crack using the circus crack and the forward throw. However, my forward throw is a little inconsistant at the moment(trying to hard). I have Mike Murphy's DVD so I hope to get some tips from that. The Bernie 8ft is a quality whip and very forgiving, when I get it right it cracks itself.
