My Fed Deluxe has been good to me, and I'm thinking of adding another to my hat family. Has any perchance any experience with this hat? Any comments?

I have a regular Federation and it has turned out great. I would have no problem purchasing another. I intend for my next hat to be an Adventurebilt, but I can see myself getting a gray Federation, as well.

I too own a Fed and I love it. I am very impressed with the quality of the hat. While I do plan on getting a Raiders AB sometime in the future, currently I wear my Akubra with pride.

I've had a Whippet pass through my hands. VERY nice material, but a MUCH to stingy brim to suit me. Same quality as the Fed Deluxe, as I recall, in felt materials. Nothing to really consider as an Indy hat by any means.

I have the standard fed. I must say that the quality of the hat is amazing. I will see how well it is made when I take it to Egypt in September. I have also just ordered a raiders style Adventurebilt, I’ve read some good reviews about them on COW (I feel an obsession coming on ). Can’t wait to get it.

The good reviews about the ABs are truthful. Seems to be a really great hat and Steve is a great person, he does a great support for his customers. You wont have problems with him

I bought "The Fedora" from hatsdirect last year. It isn't as durable as the federation in my experience. The felt is crazy soft, and the block isn't bad. The lining is cool and the sweatband is still great quality. The only problem is you can't abuse it as much as the federation, but if you're just looking for a dress hat, I'm sure it's great.
