Can't put my finger on why the shape doesn't look quite right. Any suggestions? What do you guys think?

Haha, I am such a novice, this was supposed to be part of my other post. Anyway, this is the hat I picked up down under. It's an Akubra Leisure Time.

Have you seen "This Gun For Hire" staring Alan Ladd?

If this was "Mr. Raven" gear, that fedora would be perfect.

The hat is too tapered and the brim seems to be wider than the height of the hat. With some work though I am sure it could be made to work.

He's giving up secrets in the garage like Mark Felt... he's our informant.

Either that or not enough sun block, or too much Thuggee makeup.

CIA? I thought I was playing Tetris. 8)

Anyways, a reblock could probably make it work with straightening the sides and making the crown a little taller. It looks like there is enough brim on it to at least getting closer to the look and having something to work with.

Hahaha, yes, CIA! No, I am in showbiz (no one you would ever recognize if you saw) and it's not a good idea for me to through my face around the www. Besides, I'm really not that good looking, you aren't missing out on much, lol. as for the hat, you think I should give it a dimensional cut? I don't know where to go to get it reblocked, there is only one hatter in twon and he is terrible.

Cheers,

The crown looks a bit tapered in the photo.
I wonder if giving it a dimensional cut make the crown look a bit higher? It might be a lot of work(and potentially ruining the hat) for an unknown return...
Any hat experts want to weigh in?

Actually guys, I've got a couple of other pics to show off, and I guess I will let the anonymity slide and not tell my agent. Again, you won't recognize me anyway because I am not in film.
