I just wondered if anyone knew where to get cheap Holsters in the UK? I tried e-bay, but they do not have any Indy holsters! Can anyone suggest any UK based websites or any decent Army Surplus Websites?

You just gotta accept that some things cost money. The overall Indy outfit isn't cheap if you want an exact replica. The close enoughs may be cheaper than that but they still cost money. To get a holster for £10 is a rare thing. £25 is a good price. The only way you will get one for a tenner is if you are lucky on ebay or in person.

Seeing as how it's 29.95, I rounded up to 30 USD. My math tells me that $30.00 USD is around £17 UK. If you're looking for something around £10, that's probably as close as you're going to get, even cheaper than what Ken suggested. What more do you expect/want?

Indy Gear is an expensive hobby, man. Surely, you know that by now. You're only going to find cheap gear someplace if you happen to get lucky, and also, consider the fact that it's cheap. Maybe there's a reason that it's cheap. Maybe it's in poor condition, or poorly made? Perhaps it looks almost nothing like what you want. Bottom line is, you're not going to find quality merchandise for peanuts, no matter where you look. And, if you do decide to hold out for something cheaper, well, I wish you the best luck with that.

As for the several threads about "looking for a cheap ~this~" or "looking for a cheap ~that~", it looks to me as if you are indirectly asking for free stuff without actually saying so. I offered you a cheap fedora, you didn't take it. Someone else offered to let you borrow one of theirs for free, for whatever uses you may have had for it, and however long you needed it, and you turned them down, citing that you might be able to get something "better". :evil:

What if I offered to let you borrow a holster of mine, right now? Would you turn me down?

I am just trying to see if it is possible to get my Indy Gear in the UK. I am a teen on a budget and i am new to Indy Gearing.

I AM NOT indirectly asking people for freebies, Strider. Granted it may sound like that but i am just trying to ask people about their experiences in buying and finding their gear in the UK. I mean postage from the US is sometimes more than the item!!

Then there is always the option of making one yourself. There is at least one pattern out there that I know of, and at least one of the COW people got the leather for it cheap from an old ladies hand bag when he made his... (The lady was not his wife, and the lady was not old... But the bag was and came from second hand shopping.)
Just another option for you, weighing in cost vs. labour.

I know a good leather suppliers. If i can find a pattern that would be a cool option. Making my own Indy Gear. It will have the same feeling of achievement when you make your own indy prop (just going to start ingraving the grail tablet)!
