Hi everybody,
I’m Giovanni Celeste from Torino (Italy).
Sorry for my bad english. I’m very glad to be in this forum.
First of all I want to thank some whipmakers such us:
Mr. Duke, for a perfect indy style 10 ft. that he make for me.
The whip looks great, the braiding is tight and even. (asap the pictures)
Thanks a lot Robert,
Mr. Bernie Wojcicki of EM Whips for all important advices in the art of whip making inside his web site and by his e-mail.
Mr. Stenhouse that is for me the “alter ego” of Mr. Morgan because his whip are very very similar! By the way thanks Paul for yours advices about the roll of a whip.
How is your baby?
MR: David W. Morgan the teacher of many whipmakers because without his n.455 today I wouldn’t made whips.
Mr. erri_wan for this beautiful opportunity
And…..Mr. Pagey for the 10 ft dm bullwhip that I have won on ebay
PS. I would like to thank Mr. winrichwhips (adam) for his “very hot welcome!!!”.
Mr. adam if you are sure of yours products don’t worry about mine!
))))
I think that a very whipmaker like Bernie, first of all should be happy that there are others whipmaker that are able to divulge this art.
A real whipmaker such as mr. Wojcicki, Duke, Morgan, Stenhouse, Scott don’t dishearten your work on the contrary he helps you to get better.
Regards,
Giò

Hi Giovanni,
I'm glad you made it to the forum.
My post on erri_wan's thread wasn't so much a 'welcome' as it was a reaction to the idea that there's someone out there making exact replicas of DM bullwhips from kangaroo and selling them at a very low price. I found it shocking, though the shock wore off soon enough.
As far as trying to help other whipmakers get better, I have shared some of what I know about making cowhide whips with Bernardo del Carpio (and in return he's shared some things he learned with me) though I think Bernardo's learned enough on his own now that he has his own style of whipmaking.
I'd be happy to share with you anything that I know, but judging by the pics of your work you are already well on your way.
Best Regards,
-Adam,

The Morgan is very, very, very perfect and beautiful
!!!!!
Good and strong plait, good taper, good balance, rolls out beautifully and cracks with minimum effortand like a gun shot!!!
I love the longer handle typical of the older Morgan.
Why Mr. Morgan doesn't make them like this anymore!!
Your 10ft morgan needs a pecard?, when the last treatment??
ciao ciao

Nice Collection
,
Ive made quite a few whips my self, but havent gotten around to doing a 12 plait indy yet. But I have made a few 12 plait snakes. I uasualy dont have enough time durring the school year to make 12 plait whips, so im uasuly stuck with doing 8 plait. Deffinatly looks like a great choice for you Europe members. Now we just need someone to buy one so we can see how they handle. That morgan looks great.
Kindest Regards,
Adam

erri_wan said you could make a whip that looks just like a David Morgan whip. I'd love to see pics of whips you've made.
Is that American Bullwhip (the last picture) one that you have made?

Ciao
Indiana Texas Girl
The Duke,Morgan,Stock and the American Bullwhip (the last picture from Texas
) are whips that I've buyed.
Instead the pics of whips on the topic (Morgan-like whip from italy for 100-150 euro ) are made.
Here some pics

A few questions,
do you bevel your strands? how much do you roll a whip after you have finished it? They look pretty good overall, but the gaps in the butt turks head are a little too big. The shape of the knot looks good though. Also, which of your arms is stronger? The plaiting seems to sway back and forth alot.

Adam

Thanks Adam
I'm a self made man .
In Italy don't exist the culture of whipcracking....
If you speak about the whipmaking, whipcracking they think BDSM!!!
I was born in a wrong world
Thease whips are builted some years ago, at thease time I don't know the perfect way to make a whip.
But in the two Tone 6ft, 12 plait whip, the spiral was intentional
