My Ex Girlfriend says the same thing.

Any Tailor or Dry Cleaner who does alterations can help you. Or Check a department store - I think Burlinton Coat Factory Near you does Alterations

Nice.
So where exactly in the desert were you when you took that pic?

DOOOOD!! You totally look the part! Nice "gruffed" look! Looks great! It seems your JCrews have one more lace hook than mine do.
I think mine only have 3 rows, not 4. Great alt. to the pocket flaps! I'd probably do the same.
have a nice day.

See, and I was wondering where that lovely Monet-ish garden was...NOT!
TE, congratulations - you put together a beautiful set of gear! Wear it in good health! (But not TOO carefully.

How did you get the decorative knot on the Morgan whip darker? Was it made that way or did you (or Ken) pecard it till it darkened? I like the pics too!

I really like what you've done with the brim, there. You look fantastic in all your stuff. Are you actually going to be picking up any props, or is it really over?

Amazing!
I HAVE to get my shirt altered now, only after altering the color a bit to match the MBA first.
I guess I'm odd that way.

I had the J. Crews altered when I first got them. But as with much of my early gear I will be selling those - Im thinking about putting together some kind of reasonably priced starter kit for a newbe to COW who might be interested. Will include My Kepler Hat, Duke Whip, Original Wested Trousers,(the lighter ones) an LL Bean shirt, the Disney trasher or the US Wings Jacket and my J Crews. We'll see
I was inspired by Ken's NH Trousers on Templars but for whatever reason Peter does not make the cool pockets on his otherwise Great Trousers.

This has been an obsession for 20 years - I think it will have to be surgicly removed. And yes I WANT PROPS
Where's the popper on the morgan?
In my supply box.

I'll take a pick of the pocket for you - its no big deal really just a small detail that Danial R. Talked me into.

Must be Kens doing - I got the whip from him.

Jonathan you look every inch Indiana Jones - no suprise there!! If there is anyone who truly is worthy of the title it is your good self. The gear looks fantastic and its good to see you wearing it all - don't worry you'll have the chance to wear it all for real in the desert before too long and then you'll be sorry you ever wished you had somewhere to wear it!
I have no idea about the knot on the Morgan - must have been done by the previous seller, nothing to do with me I am afraid.

The darker knot can happen with just plain old use.

The new 2005 Colour for the trousers is great. What colour is that said to be? Light Brown, Karki? Does it say on the Trousers Label?

The screen accurate color is taupe... but good luck finding many dress pants that are that color AND reasonably priced. I think just go for the Westeds.

Cool gear!
I'm particularly interested in the pants. How heavy is the material? The only other place I've seen that offers the cavalry twill is Orvis and their pants are $200!
For that price I could get a Wested shirt and pants. Orvis says their cav twill is 13-3/4oz. They say that their material comes for England. I wonder if they and Wested are getting it from the same mill?

Lawrence,
You make that gear your own, and that is not an easy thing to pull off. Well done, my friend. The sizing of everything looks spot on, and you did an excellent job with that hat.
I like the new avatar as well.
Best,
HJ

Thanks - That means alot.

I do not know how many mm the twill is but I know that it is heavy. Ask Peter at Wested or visit the site. I trust the answer is close at hand.

Ah, I'm a step ahead of you my friend.
I emailed Wested the other day and asked about how durable the pants are. All I got was a vague answer that said that they are good quality. Of course, I understand, because it is a tricky question. Its just that I'm interested in a pair of field pants and not dress pants, if you know what I mean.

Did you modify the colour of the Wested shirt? Mine looks a bit closer to a khaki colour than your white.

Nope - All my Wested shirts are pretty much the same color - with slight varriations between them. I think the shirt look a 1/4 shade lighter in the picks.
